Evan Hughes Music in Boston

at only 19 years old, Evan Hughes, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, has become one of the city’s most prominent rising artists over the past two years. Primarily an alternative hip hop artist and producer, he has become known for his stylistic diversity and energetic delivery within his vein of music. Founding the Eppi Pen music group at only fifteen years old, Evan Hughes has since released two EPs and several singles, unveiling his debut project “Paragon” in the summer of 2016. He has headlined multiple concerts in the Boston area and has shared the stage with hip-hop legends including Joe Budden and Twista. His recent single “No Life,” a collaborative effort with New Jersey artist Dutchboy, has been featured on several radio shows nationwide and has been highlighted by the lucrative hip-hop media center Hip Hop DX. Evan Hughes has also won the Emerson College Theater Department Award for Best original musical composition, as well as “Best Original Score” in the independent film “A Girl Named Lucy.” His second LP, “B.L.E.S.S,” is set for release on June 10, 2017. Certainly an artist to watch, Evan Hughes’ continuing success is a testament to the modern, edged sound that he has developed.

Its hard to believe

"On his second album, B.L.E.S.S., Evan Hughes strips down to his very core, presenting unflinchingly deep examinations into the trans-formative years of young adults navigating an unfamiliar world. In the resounding banger "Welcome to West Plain St”, he revisits the beginnings that plant him, ultimately guiding us through soaring choruses until the reflective moment he finishes the album ("Bless" ft. Lucy and Zoe). A catalog of perks and setbacks, this musical extravaganza touches on everything from drugs to girls, money to the truth,  mental health to equality, and ultimately challenges listeners to connect with him on a level at his most vulnerable and honest self."
